Titanium Dioxide in Plastic Applications

In plastics, titanium dioxide must deliver consistent color, opacity and dispersion while remaining stable across the processing window. The right grade can also reduce resin demand and avoid screen blockage or color variation.

Where TiO₂ is used

Rigid PVC

Outdoor PVC profiles and cladding typically call for a weather-resistant rutile grade with low oil absorption and strong thermal stability during extrusion.

Films, sheets and masterbatch

Polyolefin systems benefit from surface treatment designed for clean dispersion, high loading and stable melt processing. A blue-phase tone helps maintain a clean, neutral white.

Injection molding

Housings, appliances and compounds need a grade that balances opacity, gloss, impact on viscosity and ease of incorporation.
